Square Enix has released an Annual Report today which featured a section called "Creator's Voice." In this section, some of the creative minds of the company such as Naoki Yoshida and Hajime Tabata, and CEO Yosuke Matsuda  had a chance to share what they see the future of their games is going to be like.  The most interesting part comes from Hajime Tabata, who is currently a co-director  for Final Fantasy XV. Here is what he had to say:

"It’s a pleasure to introduce myself to our shareholders. My name is Hajime Tabata and I’m Co-Director of “FINAL FANTASY XV.”

My aim for the projects centering on “FINAL FANTASY XV” is to achieve the highest-acclaimed, highest-profitable installment in the “FINAL FANTASY” series. With this goal in mind, I would appreciate your continuous support.

Going forward, as a creator I would like to develop new IPs for seniors. I will create games that would thoroughly satisfy myself as I get older. Also, as a leader, I want to establish a strong production studio with an open, flexible atmosphere that constantly delivers excitement to shareholders, employees, the game industry and users—a studio with the capacity to consolidate the Group’s capabilities and play the best match at the forefront of the industry.

On this journey, the support of shareholders would be very much appreciated."

The official Bravely Default Twitter has confirmed that the western version of the game, due to be released in 2014 in North America and 2013 in Europe, is based on the recently-announced enhanced remake/digital expansion titled Bravely Default: For the Sequel in Japan. This may explain why the localisation seems to be taking a long time, since the original version of the game, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, came out back in 2012 in Japan.

Furthermore, a separate tweet has confirmed that the overseas version will also contain both English and Japanese audio, which is good news for those that prefer to have the original Japanese audio when playing Japanese RPGs.

Finally, Square Enix has also created a new official website for the Japanese version of For the Sequel. The Japanese version will be released both as a full-retail title (priced at 4990yen) and as a digital expansion (priced at 2900yen) on December 5th.
