I have a clear idea of what kinds of films I want to direct and I want to write the scripts as well.

Just for your information, I'm doing an MA in religion and plan on doing a PhD as well (+ one year of pedagogy). It would be a lot of studying if I had to have a formal degree in directing to have a chance of being accepted by a producer, but I would of course have to complete such a study if that's the only way of reaching my goal.

I think that the personal qualities and knowledge I will have developed by the time I finish (at least) my MA and the year of pedagogical theories and practical teaching skills will be important qualities (e.g. I will have a more creative/imaginative mind and I will possibly have better leadership skills) that might mean I won't have the same needs to study directing. I might also be able to learn more/"enough" about directing from reading books by professionals, and I've already ordered some.

Anyway, what do you think? Do you think I need the formal education in directing to have a chance at fulfilling my dream, or can this education be substituted with other things? You know of any directors today who haven't reached their position "by the book"?

They didn't specify either way but it seems mission-based, like MH. If you die in a battle, and are sacrificed to do your mental attacks, you don't get anything for beating the boss. Only the surviving players get stuff. So it was mentioned that players could tell their mates to sacrifice them and be the hero so the others can win.

They showed a load of attack types. If you use stones, you can make a stone wall shield and carry it around to protect players, or you can surround yourself in a big round boulder and roll around the stage. Wood can be made into a light attack sword. You can attack with your blood (like shot attacks). There were fire and lightning attacks though they didn't show what resources were needed. The whole game moves at a brisk pace — you can dart around quickly.

Oh and it seems Mitsuda is doing way more than one track. The two composers seem to be handling half each. The song of Mitsuda's they played was from the beginning when you first find the book. It had female vocals and was full of depression with a tinge of hope. The idea of the story seems to give the prisoner hope.

Alright, I think this is how it goes, but don't all rip on me if I'm a little wrong. When an enemy, or an ally, is slain, if you move close to the body, your two palms rise up. One is "rescue" (救済), the other is "sacrifice" (犠牲). For regular enemies, and maybe for allies too, it just takes one player to decide. For the main boss, all players vote, but I'm not sure if they're doing it for their own result, or for a joint result.

The other thing to mention, when a monster, or an ally, is down/hurt, you'll see red text showing up saying stuff like "I want to be with my family" or "I don't want to die". Stuff that's supposed to tug on those heart strings and show that they were once real people, but have somehow gone astray.

Square created Super Mario RPG on the SNES so it could have to do with characters from that game such as Geno and Mallow. I think this a clever move on Microsofts part because A) Contracts are hugely efficient ways at gaining a larger install base and B) People don't feel like they are dropping as much money on a product (when in reality it's usually more).

Although it works well for mobiles I'm not so sure that the model is suited as well for Consoles. After all you still need to purchase expensive games, whereas mobile phone contract prices include all your data (minutes, texts, internet), as well as free downloads for certain games and apps. Of course there are still games that do need purchasing for extra, but nowhere near console game prices.

With that said, how do you feel about this?
