Squirrel Emperor

Bravely Default Flying Fairy will have a job system but this week's Jump reveals that some of the enemies in Bravely Default: Flying Fairy will have jobs as well.

Four members of the Ertania Air Force are introduced. This is a super power group that targets followers of the crystals. We see that the group are out to arrest the game's female protagonist Anies.

The four members are:

  • Argent Hainkel: The Knight of the group and commander of the Eternia Air Force.
  • Bearing Out: The Monk of the group, brags about his "steel body" and steers the airship.
  • Ominous Crowe: The Black mage of the group and butts heads with Holy White.
  • Holy White: The White Mage of the group and controls the airship's bridge.

By defeating these "Job Masters", you'll be able to obtain new jobs for your characters. The following job classes have been revealed.

  • Knight: Physically strong offensivly and defensivly. Protects allies.
  • Monk: Fights bare-handly.
  • White Mage: Casts recovery magic. Can use Holy.
  • Black Mage: Casts destructive magic.

In the world of Bravely Default, people use a special item called an "Astarisk" which gives them the ability to change jobs. Members of the Eternia Air Force have this Astarisk.

FFXIII-2 Lightning DLC, White Mage Serah, Moogle Outfits Due in May

April 24, 2012
fat_moogle

Final Fantasy XIII-2's big Lightning VS Caius download content scenario was announced weeks ago, but Square Enix still hasn't said when we'll be getting it. The wait may finally be coming to an end, though.

Dengeki PlayStation reveals this week that the DLC will be released some time in May. It will follow Snow's DLC, which is due on May 15.

As previously detailed, the Lightning DLC is titled Requiem of the Goddess. The scenario will show Lightning and Caius in a different form of battle from what we saw in the main game.

It looks like Square Enix has a whole lot planned for May. In addition to the Requiem of the Goddess DLC, we can also look forward to White Mage Serah and Black Mage Noel costumes. We'll also be getting some Moogle costumes.

All this comes after the Snow and Valfodr DLC.

*Update*

The Final Fantasy XIII-2 Japanese website has updated that the following DLC will be avaliable on May 15th.

  • Snow and Valfodr “Arena of Eternity”: ¥400/320MSP
  • Lightning’s Story “Requiem of the Goddess”: ¥600/400MSP
  • Serah’s White Mage costume: ¥300/240MSP
  • Noel’s Black Mage costume: ¥300/240MSP
  • Moogle 16 piece costume set: ¥300/240MSP

April 17, 2012
Squirrel Emperor

FFXIII-2 Valfodr and Snow has been confirmed as DLC! The content will be available on May 15th, pricing has yet to be announced and will be Snow's episode.

The idea behind the episode came from the game's female staffers. The episode's theme is "Don't fight for me," and will show the feelings Snow and Serah have one for one-another.

Director Motomu Toriyama said that the episode will clear up some mysteries behind the coliseum itself. And details about Snow's mission as a L'Cie will be given.

Valfodr appears in the second half of Snow's episode. He appears to be quite the foe, with the ability to use weapons, magic and summons. He will have to defeat him multiple times throughout the episode. Each time, he comes back at higher level and with additional abilities.
